Never again will I take to the ice without a helmet.
Not after the knock on the head I took after I went ass backwards while practicing my stopping last night during a public skate at the local arena.
Quite simply it scared the shit out of me as the ceiling of the seemed to spin by me as my brain smashed into the the inside of my skull.
As I made my way off the ice, I honestly didn’t think I was going to make it to the door.
After a few minutes to collect myself–and get a good taste of blood from the small cut on my lip–I thought to myself how utterly stupid that was.
